In order to determine the high-quality shale lithofacies for shale gas exploration and development of Wufeng Formation-Longmaxi Formation in Huangguashan structure,based on the core experimental analysis data of well H 202,using the triangle chart of shale lithofacies mineral composition division,four reservoir evaluation parameters,namely,gas content,organic carbon content,porosity and brittle mineral concentration,as well as shale lithofacies characteristics,were studied for Wufeng Formation-Longmaxi Formation shale. The shale gas reservoirs and corresponding shale lithofacies characteristics were defined,and the high-quality shale lithofacies of shale gas exploration and development in Wufeng Formation-Longmaxi Formation in this area was determined. The cored interval of Wufeng Formation-Longmaxi Formation develops four types of rocks,i.e., clay-bearing siliceous shale,mixed siliceous shale,siliceous rock and silicon-containing limestone shale,accounting for 50.0%,38.9%,8.3% and 2.8% respectively. Through the analysis of shale lithofacies with gas content,organic carbon content,porosity and brittle mineral concentration,the shale lithofacies with high gas content,high organic carbon content,high porosity and high brittle mineral concentration is clay-bearing siliceous shale,which is the high-quality shale lithofacies for shale gas exploration and development in this area,followed by mixed siliceous shale, siliceous rock and silicon-containing limestone shale.
